Binu Padmadalakshan, professionally known as Binu Pappu, is an Indian actor and assistant director primarily associated with Malayalam cinema. He is recognized for his versatile performances in films such as Helen, One, Operation Java, and Bheemante Vazhi. In addition to acting, Binu has contributed to the industry as an assistant director, working with notable filmmakers like Aashiq Abu and Khalid Rahman.

 

 

Early Life and Background

Binu Pappu was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, into a family with strong cinematic roots. He is the son of veteran actor Kuthiravattam Pappu, who passed away in 2000. Binu pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Zamorin's Guruvayurappan College in Kozhikode. He is married to Ashita Alex.

 

Before entering the film industry, Binu worked for 13 years as an animator in Bengaluru, which helped him develop a strong understanding of visual storytelling and technical aspects of filmmaking.

 

 

Acting Career

Binu made his acting debut in the film Gunda, directed by Salim Baba, where he acted alongside Kalabhavan Mani and Tini Tom. He subsequently collaborated with director Aashiq Abu in Gangster (2014) and Rani Padmini (2015), earning praise for his performances.
