Bodhaditya Banerjee

Biography

A film editor from Kolkata, Bodhaditya Banerjee completed his schooling at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Narendrapur, following which he went on to attain his graduation degree from Jadavpur University in 2001. 

 

Upon graduation, he enrolled himself at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in Kolkata, where he studied filmmaking and editing at length.

Having trained her Shyamal Karmakar, who is a renowned film editor and the head of the editing department at SRFTI, Bodhaditya made his debut in 2010 with Srijit Mukherji`s debut movie Autograph, which went on to garner widespread acclaim and won several awards and different award functions. 

 

Bodhaditya`s work was also much appreciated, with him receiving the BIG Editor Award at Big FM`s Big Bangla Movie Awards in 2010 among a few other award functions.

His association with Srijit Mukherji extended across several other Bengali movies such as Baishe Srabon, Hemlock Society, Mishawr Rawhoshyo, and Jaatishwar. Meanwhile, his other projects include Apur Panchali, Obhishopto Nighty, Golpo Holeo Shotti, Chotoder Chobi, and Natoker Moto: Like a Play. 

 

Making his foray into Bollywood, Bodhaditya collaborated with Srijit Mukherji`s 2016 drama thriller Pink, which won him the Screen Award for Best Editing. 

 

Among his other Bollywood projects are the Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor-starrer 102 Not Out and the Ajay Devgn and Ileana D`cruz-starrer Raid. His 2019 project includes India`s Most Wanted, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. His 2020 release includes Bhoot - Part One: The Haunted Ship.
