Brian Keith (November 14, 1921 – June 24, 1997) was an American actor known for his work in film, television, and theatre. With a career spanning more than five decades, he became famous for his roles in films such as The Parent Trap (1961), The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966), Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967), and the television series Family Affair (1966–1971).

Early Life

Brian Keith was born Robert Alba Keith on November 14, 1921, in Bayonne, New Jersey. He was the son of actor Robert Keith and actress Helena Shipman, and he grew up surrounded by the entertainment world.

He appeared in films as a child before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
