Bronson Pinchot is an American actor best known for his role as the eccentric Balki Bartokomous on the popular sitcom Perfect Strangers (1986-1993). His career, however, extends far beyond this iconic role, showcasing his versatility and comedic talent in various film and television projects.   

 

 

Early Life and Education:

Born on May 20, 1959, in New York City, Pinchot's journey into the world of acting began with a strong academic foundation. He excelled in his studies, graduating at the top of his class from South Pasadena High School. This academic prowess earned him a full scholarship to Yale University, where he majored in theater studies.   

 

 

A Diverse Career:

Pinchot's career took off in the 1980s with notable roles in films like Risky Business (1983) and Beverly Hills Cop (1984). However, it was his portrayal of Balki, the naive and optimistic cousin from the fictional Mediterranean island of Mypos, that catapulted him to stardom. Perfect Strangers ran for eight seasons, solidifying Pinchot's place in television history.
