Biography
Carlos Bernard is an American actor and director, born on October 12, 1962, in Evanston, Illinois. He studied fine arts at Illinois State University and later earned an MFA from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He began his career in theater before moving into television and film.
Bernard gained widespread recognition for playing Tony Almeida in the action-thriller series 24. He appeared in the series from 2001 onward and later reprised the role in 24: Solitary and 24: Legacy. Tony became one of the show's most important characters and a trusted ally of Jack Bauer.
His other acting credits include The Young and the Restless, Dallas, CSI: Miami, Hawaii Five-0, Supergirl, The Orville, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Alien Raiders.
Bernard has also developed a career behind the camera, directing episodes of FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, Law & Order, Chicago Fire, Criminal Minds, Bull, and Magnum P.I. He also wrote and directed the short film Your Father's Daughter.
With his extensive work as both an actor and director, Carlos Bernard is best known for his memorable portrayal of Tony Almeida and his contributions to television drama and action series.
