Carlos Chan Ka-lok (陳家樂), born on October 12, 1986, in Hong Kong, is a prominent actor known for his versatile roles in film and television. Discovered by Emperor Entertainment Group through a singing contest, Chan initially embarked on a career in music before transitioning to acting.

 

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Growing up in Hong Kong, Chan lived with his grandmother during his early years. He began appearing in advertisements as a young child and later attended Ma On Shan Tsung Tsin Secondary School. In 2003, he participated in a rookie singing contest hosted by Emperor Entertainment Group. 

 

Although he was eliminated in the round of sixteen, his potential was recognized, and he was offered a contract as an artist. Initially set to join the boy group Boy'z, Chan's path shifted towards acting due to his passion for the craft. He made his onscreen debut with a minor role in the action film "Connected" (2008), where his performance left a lasting impression.

In his personal life, Chan began dating actress Jennifer Yu after they collaborated in 2014. Although they discussed marriage, the couple amicably parted ways in 2018. In 2020, rumors of a relationship with singer Shiga Lin emerged, and by June 2022, Chan confirmed their engagement. The couple married in April 2023, and in March 2024, they announced they were expecting their first child.
