Toleti began his cinematic journey as a child actor in the Telugu film Sagara Sangamam (1983). He later pursued a degree in Film and Visual Effects at the University of Central Florida. His directorial debut was the Tamil film Unnaipol Oruvan (2009), a remake of the Hindi film A Wednesday.
