Chance Perdomo

Biography

Actor Chance Perdomo first caught attention with his emotive performance in "Killed By My Debt" (BBC Three, 2018) before landing the role of pansexual warlock Ambrose Spellman in "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" (Netflix, 2018-).

Born in Los Angeles in 1996, Chance Perdomo moved to the British city of Southampton with his family aged four and briefly worked as a shoe salesman and at a cinema before pursuing his acting ambitions.

After moving to London he studied at the National Youth Theatre and Identity School of Acting and made his screen debut in "Longfield Drive" (2016), a short film exploring racial profiling in the Californian city of Oakland.

A year later he appeared in two other shorts, first as a suicidal lonely teen in "The Art of Trying" (2017) and then as a resident of a London council estate in "The Importance of Skin" (2017).

After guesting on children's Victorian-era drama "Hetty Feather" (CBBC, 2015-), detective dramedy "Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators" (BBC One, 2018-) and long-running mystery series "Midsomer Murders" (ITV1, 1997-), Perdomo received critical acclaim for his empathetic portrayal of Jerome Rogers, the 20-year-old who took his own life after racking up a £1,000 debt, in tragic real-life tale "Killed By My Debt" (BBC Three, 2018).

Later that same year Perdomo was cast as Ambrose Spellman, the eponymous character's British cousin placed under house arrest for trying to blow up the Vatican, in a supernatural reboot, "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" (Netflix, 2018-).
