Choi Soo Jin
Biography
Choi Soo-jin is a South Korean screenwriter known for her work in Korean television dramas. She is best known for co-writing the legal comedy-drama One Dollar Lawyer (2022) with Choi Chang-hwan. The series stars Namkoong Min as lawyer Cheon Ji-hun, who charges only 1,000 won for his legal services.
Her earlier writing credits include the popular action-thriller drama City Hunter (2011), starring Lee Min-ho and Park Min-young. She later worked on One Dollar Lawyer, whose screenplay won the 2015 SBS Screenplay Contest.
One Dollar Lawyer premiered on SBS in September 2022 and ran for 12 episodes. Choi Soo-jin and Choi Chang-hwan were credited as the series' writers.
Through her work, Choi Soo-jin has contributed to Korean television with stories combining action, crime, comedy, courtroom drama, and social justice themes.
