Biography

Christina Milian (born Christine Flores on September 26, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, she demonstrated an early interest in the entertainment industry, leading her family to move to Los Angeles to support her aspirations.   

Career:

Early Acting Roles: Milian began her career with minor television and film roles in the late 1990s, appearing in shows like "Sister, Sister," "Smart Guy," and "Clueless," as well as the film "American Pie." She also hosted "Movie Surfers" for Disney.   

Music Career Launch: Milian transitioned into music, making her recording debut on Ja Rule's 2000 single "Between Me and You." She signed with Island Records and released her debut single "AM to PM" in 2001, which became a Top 40 hit in the US. Her self-titled debut album was released internationally in 2002 and charted moderately.   

Music Success: She achieved greater success with her second album, "It's About Time" (2004), which spawned the Billboard Hot 100 top 5 hit "Dip It Low" featuring Fabolous. Her third album, "So Amazin'" (2006), also produced a US Top 40 single, "Say I" featuring Jeezy. Milian experienced significant success in the UK, with multiple singles charting in the top 10.   

Continued Acting Career: Alongside her music, Milian continued acting, landing her first lead film role in "Love Don't Cost a Thing" (2003). She subsequently starred in films like "Be Cool" (2005), "Pulse" (2006), and "Bring It On: Fight to the Finish" (2009). She also appeared in the ABC Family movie "Christmas Cupid" (2010) and had a main role in the sitcom "Grandfathered" (2015-2016). More recently, she starred in the Netflix film "Resort to Love" (2021) and "Meet Me Next Christmas" (2024).   

Other Ventures: Milian has also ventured into reality television with "Christina Milian Turned Up" and served as a social media correspondent for "The Voice." Additionally, she co-founded and co-owns Beignet Box, a dessert shop in the Los Angeles area, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit.
