Christopher Chulack is a distinguished American television producer and director, renowned for his significant contributions to several acclaimed TV series. He began his career as a sound editor, eventually transitioning into production roles. Early in his career, he worked on series such as "Fantasy Island" and "Homefront" before joining the crew of "ER."

 

Chulack's most notable work includes his extensive involvement with the NBC medical drama "ER," where he served as a director and producer from its inception. He directed 43 episodes and held various production roles, including executive producer for 324 episodes. His exceptional direction earned him multiple accolades, including two Directors Guild of America (DGA) Awards for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series for the episodes "Hell and High Water" and "Fear of Flying."

 

In 1999, Chulack co-produced the NBC drama series "Third Watch" alongside Edward Allen Bernero. He directed 15 episodes and served as executive producer for all 132 episodes of the series, which ran until 2005.

 

Chulack continued his collaboration with John Wells on series like "Citizen Baines" (2001) and "Presidio Med" (2002), both of which were short-lived. In 2005, he directed the pilot and multiple episodes of the series "Smith," which was canceled shortly after it began airing.

 

From 2009 to 2013, Chulack developed and executive produced the police drama "Southland," directing 17 episodes. The series was initially aired on NBC and later picked up by TNT.
