Christo Xavier

Biography

Christo Xavier is an Indian music composer, playback singer, and synth-music producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. Born on 21 July 1999, he entered the film industry as a composer in the early 2020s and quickly gained recognition for his distinctive background scores and atmospheric sound.

 

 

Career

Christo Xavier made his composing debut with Madanolsavam (2023), directed by Sudheesh Gopinath. The same year, he worked on Journey of Love 18+, for which he also made his playback-singing debut.

His breakthrough came with Bramayugam (2024), directed by Rahul Sadasivan and starring Mammootty, Arjun Ashokan and Sidharth Bharathan. Xavier composed both the film's music and its background score, creating an eerie and atmospheric soundscape that became an important part of the film's identity.

He subsequently composed music for films including Turbo (2024), Sookshmadarshini (2024) and Sorgavaasal (2024), the latter marking his debut in Tamil cinema. He later worked on the Malayalam film Diés Iraé (2025).

 

 

Awards and Recognition

For his work on Bramayugam, Xavier won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director – Score. The recognition established him as one of the emerging composers in contemporary Malayalam cinema.
