Biography
Claudia Wells is an American actress and businesswoman, best known for her role as Jennifer Parker in the 1985 film Back to the Future.
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Wells moved to the San Francisco Bay Area with her family as an infant. She began her acting career in the late 1970s and gained recognition for her role as Jennifer Parker in Back to the Future.
However, Wells's acting career was cut short when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. She decided to step away from acting to care for her mother, which led to her being replaced by Elisabeth Shue in the Back to the Future sequels.
After her mother's passing, Wells opened a men's clothing store, Armani Wells, which she continues to operate today. She has made occasional returns to acting, including voicing the character of Jennifer Parker in the video game Back to the Future: The Game.
Wells is also known for her philanthropic work, particularly with the charity KidsInTheSpotlight.org.
