Connor Trinneer was born in Walla Walla, Washington, and grew up in Kelso, Washington. He attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, where he initially pursued a career in athletics but shifted his focus to acting. Trinneer graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and later earned a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where he honed his craft in theater.
