Biography

Corbin Bernsen is an American actor, director, producer, and writer best known for his work in television and film. He gained widespread recognition for playing divorce attorney Arnie Becker on the television series L.A. Law and later became known for roles in Psych, Major League, The Dentist, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Early Life

Corbin Dean Bernsen was born on September 7, 1954, in North Hollywood, California. His mother, Jeanne Cooper, was a well-known actress who starred for decades on The Young and the Restless. His father, Harry Bernsen Jr., worked as a film producer.

Bernsen attended Beverly Hills High School and later studied theatre at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), earning both a bachelor's and a master's degree in theatre arts.

Acting Career

Bernsen began his professional acting career with television appearances during the late 1970s and early 1980s. His breakthrough came when he was cast as Arnold "Arnie" Becker in L.A. Law in 1986.
