Biography
Cyrus Yavneh was an American film and television producer, production manager, and assistant director, born on October 14, 1942, in New York City. He studied at the City College of New York and entered the entertainment industry in the 1970s, initially working as an assistant director and production manager.
Yavneh became particularly known for producing the first two seasons of the action-thriller series 24, working on 34 episodes. His work on the series earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination and a Producers Guild Award.
He also produced the television series Supernatural during its early seasons, as well as Nothing Sacred, Jack & Bobby, Falling Skies, and Hit the Floor. His film credits include The Arrival, It's Pat: The Movie, Town & Country, and Baby.
Yavneh died on January 25, 2018, in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 75. He left behind a long career spanning television production, film production, and production management.
