Daisuke Sekiguchi

Biography

Daisuke Sekiguchi was born on 22 August 1968 in Sayama, Saitama, Japan. He is a Japanese film and television producer who studied at the Stern School of Business at New York University. He spent more than two decades working for Fuji Television Network before becoming a producer and chief producer at Warner Bros. Pictures Japan.

 

Sekiguchi has produced numerous films and television projects throughout his career. His notable credits include Waterboys (2001), Swing Girls (2004), Happy Flight (2008), SP: The Motion Picture (2010–2011), and Rich Man, Poor Woman (2012). He was also one of the producers of Swing Girls, a successful musical comedy directed by Shinobu Yaguchi.

 

His later producing credits include Bleach (2018), Grand Blue (2020), and Frontline (2025). The Japanese Film Database also lists him as a producer on several major productions, reflecting his extensive involvement in Japanese cinema.

 

With a career spanning television, feature films, and international productions, Sekiguchi has become an experienced producer in the Japanese entertainment industry, working on both commercially successful films and popular television dramas.
