Biography

Daisy Bopanna (born December 4, 1982) is an Indian actress known for her roles in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil films.

 

Personal Life

Hailing from Kodagu, Daisy completed her schooling at Aurobindo School, pursued pre-university studies at Kumarans College, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Chitrakala Parishat in Bangalore, Karnataka. She married Amit Jaju in 2011.

 

Career

Daisy began her career in theater, briefly working with B. Jayashree's Spandana theater camp and performing in contemporary English plays. Her film career started in 2002 with Bimba, directed by Kavitha Lankesh, which addressed the exploitation of child actors and was showcased at the Berlin and Frankfurt Film Festivals, earning international acclaim. 

 

Daisy gained further recognition with her role in Bhagawan (2004) alongside Darshan, earning the nickname "Spicy Daisy." Before Bimba's release in 2004, she also hosted the TV show Top Drive on Star World for nearly a year.
