Dana Gonzales
Biography
Dana Gonzales is an Emmy-winning cinematographer and director based in Los Angeles, celebrated for his visually striking work in television. A frequent collaborator of Noah Hawley, Gonzales directed four episodes of FX's Fargo, including the season finale, and has also directed episodes of FX's Legion seasons two and three.
As a cinematographer, Gonzales earned one Emmy win and six nominations for his work on Fargo and Legion, including a 2021 Emmy nomination for Fargo. He has received recognition from the American Society of Cinematographers and a Camerimage nomination in the television pilot category for Legion. In 2022, he was also nominated for a BSC award in the TV drama category for Fargo season 4.
Beyond FX, Gonzales has directed episodes for Netflix and The CW and is attached to direct the feature film Footprint for Vertigo, produced by Roy Lee. He recently directed two episodes of Hulu's final season of The Handmaid’s Tale and will direct an episode of Apple TV+’s upcoming series The Changeling.
