Biography

Danish Aslam is a filmmaker based in Mumbai, India, with a career spanning over two decades. He has worked in various mediums, including films, web series, and television.

 

His journey as a filmmaker commenced with the 2010 release of "Break Ke Baad," a comedy-drama film starring Deepika Padukone and Imran Khan. The critical response to 'Break Ke Baad' was positive to mixed, with critics praising the film's fresh take on the romantic comedy genre and its surprisingly modern depiction of young adult relationships.

 

He has worked on projects for various digital platforms. His most recent work includes the well-reviewed episode ("She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not") in the Netflix anthology series "Feels Like Ishq," featuring Saba Azad.

 

Among his earlier web series, one of the standout works is the critically acclaimed "Flesh". This series starred Swara Bhaskar, Akshay Oberoi, Mahima Makwana, Vidya Malwade, and Yudhishtar Urs and was produced by Siddharth Anand for Eros Now.

 

He has directed shows such as "Siyaasat" (Epic), "Kabhi Aise Geet Gaya Karo" (Disney), "Yeh Hai Aashiqui" (Bindaas), and "Love By Chance" (Bindaas).

Music Video

 

He has directed a music video for the song "Baadshah" sung by Pratyul Joshi and released by T-Series. The video was shot in Mauritius and also starred Pallavi Sharda in it.

 

 

In addition to his work behind the camera, Danish Aslam acted in the web series "Kaala" on Hotstar, directed by Bejoy Nambiar, which was released in 2023. He has also acted in a few TV commercials directed by noted ad filmmakers like Vinil Mathew and others.
