Darsheel Safary is an Indian actor, best known for his critically acclaimed debut performance in Taare Zameen Par (2007), where he portrayed Ishaan Awasthi, a young boy struggling with dyslexia. Born on March 9, 1997, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Darsheel comes from a family with no prior connections to the film industry. His father, Mitesh Safary, is a jeweler, and he has a younger sister named Nejvi​.

 

Early Life and Education

Darsheel grew up in Mumbai and pursued his education at Greenlawn's High School. He later completed a bachelor's degree at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. Despite his early fame, Darsheel has maintained a relatively private life, choosing to focus on his studies and career​.

 

Career Highlights

Darsheel's acting career began when he was just 10 years old, with his breakthrough role in Taare Zameen Par. His portrayal of a dyslexic child won widespread praise and several awards, including the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor​.
