Biography

Dave Palmer is an American keyboardist and session musician known for his versatility across jazz, rock, and pop music. Born on November 8, 1968, in Denton, Texas, Palmer developed an interest in music at an early age and began studying piano as a child. By his teenage years, he was already performing professionally in jazz and rock venues.

Palmer studied at the University of North Texas, a school recognized for its strong jazz program. After completing his studies, he moved through several music scenes, including Seattle and San Francisco, before establishing himself in Los Angeles as a sought-after session musician.

Throughout his career, Dave Palmer has collaborated with a wide range of well-known artists. His credits include performances and recordings with musicians such as Fiona Apple, Seal, Chris Isaak, Aimee Mann, Fleetwood Mac, and Tegan and Sara. Known for his adaptable playing style, Palmer has successfully worked in both live performances and studio sessions.

In addition to his work as a sideman, Palmer has pursued solo and collaborative projects. He is associated with the Earl Harvin Trio and released his solo album Romance in 2006. His musicianship has been praised for blending technical skill with expressive jazz influences.
