Deeksha Sonalkar
Biography
Deeksha Sonalkar, also known as Deeksha Kanwal Sonalkar, is an Indian actress and classically trained Odissi dancer from Mumbai, Maharashtra. Born to a Maharashtrian father, Manoj Sonalkar, and a Punjabi mother, Ramneek Kanwal Sonalkar, she completed her schooling at Jasudben M. L. School, junior college at Sophia Women’s College, and earned a Bachelor’s in Mass Media from R. D. National College, Mumbai.
Her acting journey began in 10th grade when she played Eliza Doolittle in the school play My Fair Lady, based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion. She later performed with various theatre groups before making her television debut in the series Bani – Ishq Da Kalma on Colors TV, produced by Mystic – The Entertainment Company and Colosseum Media House. Since then, she has worked with several prominent production houses in television and has recently expanded her career to include web series.
