Dev Ramnath
Biography
Dev Ramnath, also known as Swaminath Raamanathan, is an Indian Tamil actor, content producer, and creative professional based in Chennai. He was previously credited as Abhinav before adopting the name Dev Ramnath in 2019.
He made his acting debut with Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (2014), a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual directed by Balaji Mohan, in which he played Vinod opposite Nazriya Nazim. He later appeared in Oru Naal Koothu (2016) as Mukundan, followed by his first major central role in the crime thriller Vellai Pookal (2019), where he portrayed Ajay, the son of Vivek's character.
Ramnath has also worked extensively in digital entertainment. He starred in the web series Happy to be Single, which he also co-produced and co-directed, and later appeared in PubGoa (2020) and I Hate You - I Love You (2021). He played Karthik in the Amazon Prime Video series Sweet Kaaram Coffee (2023).
Alongside acting, he is a co-founder and producer at Madboys Creatives, a content studio that produces commercials, digital films, branded content, and web series. The company credits him with producing more than 50 television commercials, digital films, corporate films, and web series for major brands.
His more recent acting credits include Por (2024), Pechi (2024), and Parasakthi (2026), in which he is also credited as a creative producer.
