Dharmendra Kakarala

Biography

Dharmendra Kakarala is an Indian film editor who predominantly works in the Telugu film industry. He pursued a filmmaking course at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata, and then worked as an associate editor for movies such as Oka V Chitram (2005), Lakshmi Kalyanam (2006), Rakhee (2006), Adi Vishnu (2008), Bangaaru Babu (2009), Mestry (2009), and Chandamama (2009).

His first full-fledged film as an editor was Prasthanam in 2010, a political thriller directed by Deva Katta. Dharmendra then collaborated with director Praveen Sattaru to work on several of his films like LBW - Life Before Wedding (2011), Routine Love Story (2012), Chandamama Kathalu (2014), and Guntur Talkies (2016).

He has also been associated with movies such as Dhada (2011), Bangaru Kodipetta (2013), Hitudu (2014), Bandipotu (2015), and Asura (2015). His 2017 venture includes the Telugu comedy thriller PSV Garuda Vega 126.18M, under the direction of Praveen Sattaru, starring Rajasekhar, Pooja Kumar, Kishore, and Shraddha Das. His 2018 release includes Ye Mantram Vesave, a romantic thriller directed by Shridhar Marri.
