Biography
Dhruv Dhalla is an Indian music composer renowned for his versatility and innovative approach to music. Born and raised in New Delhi, he honed his skills by enrolling in the Western composition course at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, equipping him with a strong foundation in contemporary music techniques.
Dhruv made his Bollywood debut with the song Chak De Phatte for Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006), which became a major hit. He followed this success with the title track Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye (2008), further establishing his reputation in the industry. Over the years, he has composed music for a diverse array of films, including Dil Kabaddi, Tere Bin Laden, Sahi Dhande Galat Bande, Via Kargill, Bumboo, and Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene.
Known for being selective with his projects, Dhruv continued to impress with works like Coffee with D and Signal (2017), and later Ahaan, Aapke Kamre Mai Koi Rehta Hai, and Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Se. From 2021 to 2024, he composed music for the popular television series Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. His recent projects include Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, starring Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor.
