Dhyan Sreenivasan was born on December 20, 1988, in Kuthuparamba, Kannur, Kerala. He is the younger son of acclaimed actor, writer, and director Sreenivasan and Vimala Sreenivasan. His elder brother, Vineeth Sreenivasan, is a well-known singer, actor, and filmmaker. Growing up in a family of artists, Dhyan was exposed to cinema from an early age, which naturally shaped his passion for storytelling and performance.

Dhyan made his acting debut in 2013 with Thira, directed by his brother Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film, which also starred actress Shobana, was a suspense thriller that received critical acclaim.
