Early Life and Education
Born on December 20, 1993, in Patiala, Punjab, Diljott hails from a family of academics. She completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, and pursued higher education at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Diljott earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Psychology and Journalism, followed by a Master's degree in Human Rights and Duties, both with University Gold Medals.
Her academic journey also includes studies in Public Policy at Harvard University and International Development at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, she holds a postgraduate degree in NGO Management from Amity University and a Project Cycle Management certification from Geneva, Switzerland.
Career in Entertainment
Diljott's passion for the arts led her to train at a Mumbai acting institute, where she honed her skills in Kathak, Western, and folk dance. She began her career in the entertainment industry by featuring in advertisements for prominent brands such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Larsen & Toubro, and appeared on magazine covers.
She made her acting debut in the Punjabi film Idiot Boys (2014) and gained significant recognition for her role in the song "Patiala Peg" alongside Diljit Dosanjh. Diljott's filmography includes leading roles in Teshan (2016), Yaar Annmulle 2 (2017), and the Bollywood film 5 Weddings (2018), where she starred opposite Rajkummar Rao.
