Dylan Macleod
Biography
Dylan Macleod is a Canadian cinematographer and director of photography known for his work in television, film, and commercials. He has built an extensive career in the camera department, contributing to major productions in Canada and internationally.
Macleod is particularly known for his cinematography on Locke & Key (2020–2022), serving as director of photography on nine episodes across Seasons 2 and 3. He helped shape the supernatural series' visual style and atmosphere.
His other notable television credits include The Boys, From, Cardinal, Bad Blood, and The Lost Symbol. His feature-film work includes Trench 11 (2017), which earned him a Canadian Society of Cinematographers nomination for Best Feature Film Cinematography.
Macleod has also photographed numerous commercials for major brands including Nike, McDonald's, Johnnie Walker, Toyota, and Kellogg's, demonstrating his experience across both narrative filmmaking and commercial cinematography.
