Biography

Ece Yorenc was born on October 20th, 1962, in Istanbul- Turkey, and attended Ankara University, Language History and Geography Faculty. Her career as a scriptwriter started in 1992.

In 2005 the Drama "Yaprak Dökümü" ('Fallen Leaves') which was a prime-time TV adaptation of a famous classical Turkish Novel, was the turning point for her career. The drama lasted for 5 Turkish seasons and achieved enormous success in Turkey. 

 

Her other Drama hits were TV series for Turkish television stations. Such as 'Menekse-Halil', 'Ask-i Memnu' ('Forbidden love'), 'Fatmagül'ün Suçu ne?' 'Fatmagul'), 'Kuzey Güney', 'Medcezir' ('O.C.'), 'Kurt Seyit and Sura', 'Cesur ve Güzel' ('Brave and Beautiful')...

All of these prime-time Dramas had a great effect on the lives of millions of people in Turkey. Then the worldwide success came. Ece's scripts were the first scripts- which were licensed as Turkish formats worldwide. Russia, Mexico, India, Armenia, South America, and Spanish U.S. ..Options to Germany, U.S., Spain... 'Forbidden Love' is Turkey's first Internationally adapted format.
