Elizabeth Lail was born on 25 March 1992 in Williamson County, Texas, USA. She is an American actress who studied drama at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, graduating in 2014.
Lail gained attention with her television debut as Anna, the character from Frozen, in Once Upon a Time (2014). She later starred in the supernatural series Dead of Summer (2016).
Her breakthrough came with Netflix's psychological thriller You (2018–2019), where she portrayed Guinevere Beck, the aspiring writer who becomes the object of Joe Goldberg's obsessive attention. Her performance earned her a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress in a Streaming Presentation.
