Farhaan Faasil
Biography
Farhaan Faasil, born Ismail Fazil on 26 May 1990, is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He is the younger son of acclaimed filmmaker Fazil and the younger brother of actor Fahadh Faasil.
Early Life
Farhaan was born in Alappuzha, Kerala, and grew up in a family closely associated with Malayalam cinema. His father Fazil is a noted director, while his brother Fahadh is one of the leading actors of contemporary Malayalam cinema.
Acting Career
Farhaan made his acting debut with Njan Steve Lopez (2014), directed by Rajeev Ravi. He played the title character, Steve Lopez, in the crime drama. His performance earned him a SIIMA Award nomination for Best Debut Actor.
After a gap, he returned to the screen with Basheerinte Premalekhanam (2017), a romantic comedy directed by Aneesh Anwar. He subsequently appeared in Under World (2019), playing Majeed alongside Asif Ali.
Bheeshma Parvam
One of Farhaan's notable later appearances was in Bheeshma Parvam (2022), directed by Amal Neerad and starring Mammootty. He portrayed Paul Anjoottikkaran, a member of the Anjootti family. The film became an important addition to his filmography.
Later Work
Farhaan continued his career with Thudarum (2025), directed by Tharun Moorthy, in which he played Sudheesh. His filmography has remained relatively selective, with a focus on character-driven projects.
