Biography
Fil Eisler is a Czech-born, English-raised composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist renowned for his inventive and emotive scores across film and television. Known for creating signature themes that bring stories to life, Eisler has contributed to a wide range of projects—from big studio action films and comedies to gritty independent films and critically acclaimed television series.
Career Highlights
Eisler’s television work includes composing for Fox’s Golden Globe-nominated drama Empire, Lifetime’s Peabody-winning UnReal, Bravo’s Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Showtime’s Emmy-winning Shameless, and ABC’s hit drama Revenge, where he served as both composer and conductor. In film, he has scored Netflix’s To the Bone, Warner Bros.’ CHIPS, Sony’s Proud Mary, The Titan, and MGM/New Line Cinema’s How to Be Single. He also acted as composer and music director for the Peabody-winning documentary Newtown, coordinating an all-star lineup of Hollywood composers.
Eisler has been recognized for his work in independent cinema, including Sundance-backed films such as On the Ice, Whatever It Takes, and the BAFTA-nominated Off Season. He won Best Film Score at the 2011 SXSW Film Festival for Robbie Pickering’s Natural Selection and continued his collaboration with Pickering on Freaks of Nature (2015).
