Fran Walsh
Biography
Fran Walsh is a New Zealand screenwriter, film producer, and lyricist, born on January 10, 1959, in Wellington, New Zealand. She is best known for her screenplay in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012).
She won the Academy Award, BAFTA Film Award, AFI Award, Saturn Award, and Awards Circuit Community Award. Her 2018 release includes Mortal Engines, directed by Christian Rivers.
