Frederik Wiedmann (born in 1981 in Stuttgart, Germany) is an Emmy Award-winning German composer widely recognized for his diverse and extensive work in motion pictures and television. With a career spanning over 150 titles, Wiedmann has established himself as a versatile artist with a passion for storytelling through music.
Early Life and Musical Training:
Wiedmann's musical journey began early, playing violin from the age of six and later switching to guitar at fourteen. A pivotal moment in his decision to pursue film composing was hearing John Barry's score for Dances with Wolves at age 12. He furthered his education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film Scoring in 2004, graduating summa cum laude. After interning for composer John Frizzell for three years, Wiedmann began his career as a film composer in Los Angeles in 2007.
