Gabriel Swann Macht (born January 22, 1972, in the Bronx, New York City) is an American actor best known for his charismatic and commanding roles on screen. He comes from a family immersed in the entertainment industry, as his father is the actor Stephen Macht.

 

 

 

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Macht began his acting career at a remarkably young age. At just eight years old, he made his film debut in the movie Why Would I Lie? (1980), for which he received a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Young Motion Picture Actor.

 

 

He pursued formal training, graduating from the prestigious Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts in 1994. Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he built a solid career in both film and television, with appearances in popular shows like Sex and the City and numerous feature films.
