Gabriel Mann
Biography
Gabriel Mann is an American composer, songwriter, singer, and music producer known for his work in television, film, animation, and video games. He is particularly recognized for composing the music and iconic theme for the hit sitcom Modern Family.
Mann studied music composition at the University of Pennsylvania before moving to Los Angeles to study film scoring at the University of Southern California. He initially pursued a career as a singer-songwriter and later became involved in television music, including work as a songwriter on Arrested Development.
His major composing credits include Modern Family, Rectify, A Million Little Things, School of Rock, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, The Unicorn, Emily in Paris, and The Really Loud House. He has also composed music for video games such as The Saboteur, TimeShift, The Mummy, and The Legend of Spyro series.
Mann is also a member of the Los Angeles-based alternative band The Rescues and has worked as a producer and vocalist with artists including Sara Bareilles, Adele, and Muse. He has received numerous ASCAP and SESAC awards for his contributions to film and television music.
