Garry Sandhu
Biography
Gurmukh Singh "Garry" Sandhu is an Indian singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor, primarily known for his contributions to Punjabi music. Originally moving to the United Kingdom on a study visa, he worked illegally as a construction worker in Birmingham before being deported. During this time, he aspired to turn his songwriting into a professional career.
Sandhu made his singing debut in 2010 with the song Main Ni Peenda and his acting debut in the 2014 Punjabi film Romeo Ranjha. He has released popular tracks such as Illegal Weapon, Yeah Baby, Banda Ban Ja, and Excuses. In 2019, his song Yeah Baby was featured in the Bollywood film De De Pyaar De as Hauli Hauli. Sandhu also owns the record label Fresh Media Records.
He has been nominated for multiple awards at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards, and Business Today reported that his song Illegal Weapon was one of the top YouTube music videos in India.
