Gaurav Raina
Biography
One of the stalwarts of the Indian Electronic Music scene, Gaurav Raina is better known for his role as one-half of India's electronica pioneers, The Midival Punditz. Now, also known for his latest solo project, Grain, he's helping redefine the electronic music scene in India.
As a producer, Gaurav has earned varied experiences working with the likes of Anoushka Shankar, Karsh Kale, Dj Chebi Sabbah, Sting, and Norah Jones to name a few.
As a performance artist, he has shared the stage with many international names such as Alicia Keys, Anoushka Shankar, Zakir Hussain, Bill Laswell, Norah Jones, Usher, etc.
He's also composed background scores for Bollywood films including Dum Maro Dum, Karthik Calling Karthik, Don, and Soundtrack, and lent his music to Hollywood projects such as Closer (movie), 6 feet Under (HBO), Prison Break (Fox) & Monsoon Wedding (movie).
Gaurav has been a key player in the Indian Fashion scene, in the last 2 decades, as a popular music producer and director for the majority of the big shows with leading designers including Rohit Bal, Rajesh Pratap Singh, JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma and more.
