Biography

Gavin Casalegno, born September 2, 1999, in Dallas, Texas, is an American actor known for his work in film and television. He gained widespread recognition for playing Jeremiah Fisher in the coming-of-age romantic drama series The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022–2025).

Early Life and Career

Casalegno began modeling and appearing in commercials as a child. He moved into acting at a young age and appeared in projects including Chase and Lone Star. His early film roles included young Shem in Darren Aronofsky's Noah (2014) and Michael Ladouceur in When the Game Stands Tall (2014).

He later played young Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries (2015) and Trevor Strand in the television series Walker (2021).

Breakthrough with The Summer I Turned Pretty

Casalegno's breakthrough came with The Summer I Turned Pretty, based on Jenny Han's bestselling novel trilogy. He portrays Jeremiah Fisher, one of the two Fisher brothers at the center of Belly Conklin's complicated romantic life. The series premiered in 2022 and concluded its three-season run in 2025.

His performance as Jeremiah made him widely recognized among young television audiences and became the defining role of his early career.

Later Work

Casalegno appeared as Joe Jr. in the wrestling biographical film Queen of the Ring. His other credits include The Unhealer, Nine Seconds, and I Am... Gabriel.

Following the conclusion of The Summer I Turned Pretty, he remained attached to the franchise's upcoming feature film, reprising Jeremiah Fisher. The film began production in 2026.

Personal Life

Casalegno married Cheyanne King in 2024. He is the oldest of three siblings, and his younger sister Ashlyn Casalegno is also an actress and model.
