Go Kyung Pyo

Biography

Go Kyung-pyo (born June 11, 1990) is a South Korean actor and comedian. He gained recognition for his role in the television series Reply 1988 (2015–16) and has since starred in Don't Dare to Dream (2016) and Chicago Typewriter (2017). Go starred in his first leading role in KBS2's Strongest Deliveryman in August 2017.

 

2022 was a busy year for Go. Go appeared in Park Chan-wook's mystery film Decision to Leave as Soo-wan. In April 2022, Decision to Leave was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where Park Chan-wook won Best Director

 

His portrayal earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards, and he also won the Chung Jung-won Popular Star Award.

 

In 2024, Go was cast as the male lead in the television series Frankly Speaking, opposite female lead Kang Han-na. It is scheduled to premiere on JTBC on May 1, 2024, and will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 20:50 (KST). It will also be available for streaming on Netflix in selected regions.
