Guneet Dogra is an Indian film producer known for his work across independent cinema, international collaborations, and digital content. With a career that spans multiple roles in filmmaking, he has contributed to a wide range of critically acclaimed and commercially engaging projects.

 

 

Early Life and Background

Guneet Dogra developed an early interest in storytelling and cinema. Remarkably, by the age of 17, he was already writing short films for German filmmaker Joanne Rousset. This early exposure to global storytelling shaped his creative outlook and laid the groundwork for a multifaceted career in the film industry.

 

 

Early Career and Industry Exposure

Dogra began his journey working on the sets of notable films such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Qissa, and Zero Dark Thirty. These experiences provided him with valuable insights into large-scale productions and nuanced storytelling.

He went on to take up diverse roles behind the scenes. He handled post-production for the cult film Monsoon Shootout and worked with direction teams on projects like Tigers and Zubaan. This phase of his career helped him build a comprehensive understanding of filmmaking.

Guneet Dogra expanded his portfolio by executing international projects such as The Ashram, Darkness Visible, and Watch List. His work in these projects highlighted his ability to manage cross-cultural productions and collaborate with global teams.

In 2018, Dogra won a Filmfare Award for producing the short film Plus Minus, which received widespread appreciation. He also created the Hindi-language anthology Zindagi in Short for Flipkart Video, later associated with Netflix.

Dogra continues to work on diverse and ambitious projects. His upcoming slate includes a pre-independence drama developed by Ravinder Randhawa and directed by Bharat Bala. He is also producing a slice-of-life dramedy series titled Thode Dur Thode Pass, featuring Pankaj Kapur, Kunal Roy Kapoor, and Mona Singh, directed by Ajay Bhuyan.

Additionally, he is working on a musical anthology directed by Jyoti Kapur Das and developing multiple projects in collaboration with Pratilipi, focusing on stories from the Indian heartland.
