Gursimran Khamba
Biography
Gursimran Khamba is an Indian stand-up comedian, writer, podcaster, and creative producer, known for his sharp satirical humor and commentary on politics and current affairs. He was born and raised in Delhi and later studied media and culture at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai.
Khamba began his career as a blogger and humor writer before moving into stand-up comedy. In 2012, he co-founded All India Bakchod (AIB) with Tanmay Bhat. Rohan Joshi and Ashish Shakya later became part of the core group. AIB grew from a comedy podcast into a major Indian comedy collective producing live shows, sketches, digital content, and television programs.
He was also a presenter and writer on On Air with AIB, a satirical news-comedy series that premiered in 2015. Beyond AIB, Khamba has worked as a script consultant, creative director, producer, and commentator, and later launched Light@27, a creative and comedy consulting venture.
Known for his observational and politically oriented comedy, Gursimran Khamba has been an influential figure in the development of India's modern stand-up and digital comedy scene.
