Biography
Harpreet is an Indian filmmaker, director, writer, and empaneled producer born in July 1982 in Barnala, Punjab. He began his journey in the entertainment industry as an actor between 1999 and 2002, performing in several theatrical productions in Mumbai. His early experience on stage helped him develop a strong foundation in storytelling and performance.
After 2002, Harpreet transitioned into filmmaking and began working as an assistant director. He gained valuable industry experience with prominent production houses such as Balaji Telefilms and Contiloe Entertainment, along with several other banner projects. His dedication and skills led him to join a production house named Mannerism, where he worked as the First Assistant Director on the feature film Hawayein. The project marked a significant step forward in his career and opened doors to more opportunities in film and television.
Over the years, Harpreet continued to work extensively as an Associate Director and Chief Assistant Director on numerous films and television projects, steadily building his reputation in the industry. With experience across multiple formats, he eventually established himself as an independent director.
As a director, he helmed films such as Rehmataan and Jaan Toh Pyara, showcasing his creative vision and storytelling abilities. In addition to feature films, Harpreet has directed web series, advertisement films, and music videos for major production houses. He has also ventured into production, backing several short films and contributing to diverse cinematic projects.
