Biography
Hardavinder Singh Sandhu (born 6 September 1986), professionally known as Harrdy Sandhu, is an Indian singer, actor, and former cricketer who works in Punjabi and Hindi films. He began his music career with the song Tequila Shot, but rose to prominence with Soch (2013) and Joker (2014), both written by Jaani and composed by B Praak. These songs played a key role in establishing him as a leading voice in the Punjabi music industry.
Sandhu made his acting debut in the Punjabi film Yaaran Da Katchup (2014). His song Soch was later remade for the Bollywood film Airlift (2016), while his hit track Naah was adapted as Naah Goriye for the Hindi film Bala, featuring vocals by Swasti Mehul. These remakes helped him gain wider recognition among Hindi film audiences.
In 2021, Harrdy Sandhu made his Hindi film debut with Kabir Khan’s sports drama 83, based on India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup victory, where his performance received praise. He later appeared in the spy action drama Code Name: Tiranga (2022), further strengthening his presence in Hindi cinema.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Sandhu was a professional cricketer and represented Punjab at the domestic level until an injury ended his sports career. He is a notable alumnus of The British Co-Ed High School. Known for successfully transitioning from sports to music and acting, Harrdy Sandhu remains a prominent figure in Indian entertainment.
