Biography
Harsh began his filmmaking journey with Peepli Live (2008), where he worked as an intern in the direction department for seven days on the film’s set. Soon after, he joined Prakash Jha Productions as a production assistant on Rajneeti. Over the next several years, he continued working with the production house on four major films—Aarakshan, Chakravyuh, Satyagraha, and Lipstick Under My Burkha.
From 2009 to 2015, Harsh progressed steadily from Production Assistant to First Assistant Director, gaining hands-on experience across key departments and learning the fundamentals of filmmaking through practical involvement.
His first feature film as a writer, Miraj (2018), produced by Alt J Films, earned recognition on the festival circuit. Miraj was officially selected at the Mindfield Film Festival (Los Angeles), Calcutta International Cult Film Festival (Kolkata), Alt Film Festival, Toronto, and several others, marking an important milestone in his writing career.
