Hemant Dhome (born 21 March 1986) is an Indian actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker known for his work in Marathi cinema. Over the years, he has established himself as a versatile talent, contributing both in front of and behind the camera.

 

 

Personal Life

Hemant Dhome was born in Pune, Maharashtra, to a Marathi family. He met actress Kshitee Jog during rehearsals for the play Saavdhaan Shubhamangal, and the couple fell in love. They married in a private ceremony at their Pune home on 10 December 2012.

 

 

Career

Dhome began his acting career in 2010 with Kshanbhar Vishranti, a Marathi ensemble romantic family drama directed by Sachit Patil, where he starred opposite Kadambari Kadam. Although the film underperformed at the box office, it gained popularity through television broadcasts.

 

In 2012, he played the lead opposite Anushka Dandekar in Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha, a patriotic drama. That same year, he made his debut as a writer with Aditya Sarpotdar’s romantic musical Satrangi Re, marking the start of his behind-the-scenes contributions.

 

He continued acting in films like Mangalashtak Once More (2013), exploring married life, and in comedies Hututu and Aandhali Koshimbir (2014), where his performances were praised for comic timing and engaging portrayal of youthful and generational dynamics.

 

In 2015, Dhome played a negative role in the romantic comedy Online Binline, a love triangle centered on digital romance. Critics noted his ability to combine humor with nuanced acting, highlighting his versatility as a performer.
