Biography
Henry Nicholls is a New Zealand cricketer born on November 15, 1991, in Christchurch. He is a left-handed batsman who can also bowl right-arm off-breaks. Nicholls represents the New Zealand national team and plays for Canterbury in domestic first-class cricket. He has also captained the reserve A side since 2017.
Nicholls made his international debut in One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Sri Lanka on December 26, 2015. His Test debut followed on February 12, 2016, against Australia, and his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut was against Bangladesh on March 26, 2016, during the ICC World Twenty20 tournament.
A significant moment in his Test career came in March 2017 when he scored his maiden century (118 runs) against South Africa in Wellington. In ODIs, his first century (124 not out off 80 balls) was against Sri Lanka in January 2019.
Nicholls was a member of the New Zealand squad that finished as runners-up at the 2019 Cricket World Cup, where he scored a crucial 55 in the final. He was also part of the team that won the inaugural ICC World Test Championship in 2019-2021.
