Heo Dam
Biography
Heo-dam is a South Korean screenwriter known for his work in film and television. His notable credits include the period action-horror film Monstrum (2018) and the crime-fantasy thriller series Connect (2022).
For Monstrum, Heo-dam co-wrote the screenplay and story with director Heo Jong-ho and writer Byeon Jeong-uk. The film is set during the Joseon Dynasty and follows a loyal subject who confronts a mysterious monster threatening the kingdom.
Heo-dam later co-wrote Connect (2022) with Masaru Nakamura. Directed by Takashi Miike, the six-episode Disney+ series follows a man whose stolen eye is transplanted into a serial killer, leaving him mysteriously connected to the killer's vision.
Through these projects, Heo-dam has established himself as a writer associated with horror, fantasy, crime, mystery, and thriller storytelling.
