Biography

Hilton Pelser is a South African actor born and raised in Cape Town, where he developed an early interest in the performing arts. Influenced partly by his sister, who taught drama, Pelser grew up with a strong connection to theatre and storytelling.

 

 

Career Beginnings

Pelser made his screen debut with small roles before gaining international attention for playing Barry in the teen hit The Kissing Booth (2018). His performance led him to reprise the role in the film’s sequels, helping him build visibility among global audiences.

 

 

Rise to Prominence

His breakthrough as a serious actor came with the critically acclaimed film Moffie (2019), in which he portrayed Sergeant Brand. The role showcased his ability to portray intense, layered characters and earned him recognition in international film circles.

 

Pelser continued expanding his range with films such as Glasshouse (2021), where he stepped into darker, more complex roles. On television, he took on a major part in the period drama Dangerous Liaisons (2022), further establishing his place in international productions.
